We made it…
Navigating through an unforgettable 2020 has brought us to Opening Day at Saratoga Race Course. For the first time in 25+ years, I along with everyone else will miss Opening Day but as long as they continue to race safely, we’re excited to open up our city to racing once again.
Racing will be different this season as some barns have not made the trip this year both from KY and from NYC. I’m all set, have the PP’s all done for the first few days and I’m ready to get started.
I am looking to start the afternoon with an early long shot that should catapult us forward. The Late PK5 is outstanding with a Stable Mail Special on turf and my two Best Bets ( a 3 & 4 Star) plays to finish the card. We get to see at least one star today as well as the Schylerville Stakes kicks off the 2 yr old program.
I have many packages available for selections. The Saratoga Season Pass will be all 40 days of action, the Long Weekend Package is a Wednesday – Sunday 5 day plan. The Weekend Pass gives you access Friday through Sunday or you can simply purchase by the day for one low price.

For Thursday’s Free Pick ~
Saratoga Race 1 – #2 GRIT AND GLORY – This Malibu Moon gelding wintered in South Florida facing tougher company and even left with a nice win in February when claimed by Todd Pletcher from Stan Hough on behalf of Mike Repole. He shipped north and caught a wet track, which he has yet to win or run well, and was claimed by Linda Rice. He remains sharp for new connections with a nice 7/8 workout, gets in light with 7 lb apprentice Luis Cardenas, is eligible to stomp on these if he gets his Fast track back. Starts the meet a winner.
The very best of luck!
