I finally was able to post a Free Pick winner Thursday! It only took 18 racing days, but perseverance pays off. It is really difficult to pick one race at Saratoga and post it as the Free Pick. The rest of the year, I’m only handicapping and putting up races I have an advantage in on the website. At Saratoga, I handicap every race, and frankly some of them suck making choosing the daily Free Pick difficult.

For Friday’s Free Pick ~
Saratoga race 7 – #5 Weekend Hideaway – three horse make their second lifetime starts in this heat which gives them an advantage over the field, but this one makes his 2nd start over the Saratoga surface which gives him the distinct advantage. Having a race over the track give him a fitness edge and helps him handle the surface better than horses who have never raced over it.
